Sunset from our backyardJust thought I'd let you all know I'm still here. Just having a blogging lapse. I'm sure the rest of you know what I'm talking about, the "blogging blahs"? Where you just aren't feeling it? Still love to read other's, but don't have the energy, time, or desire to come up with something to write about for your own blog. I love this pressure I place on myself to write. But just in case any of you are wondering what is going on in the Mata world, here goes:
1. David is working lots at Alpine.
2. I am working at OG still. They just asked me if I want to become a Certified Trainer. yipee.
3. Malia watches way too many "shows" as she calls them and frequently growls at others.
4. It's dang cold in Lewiston, but is supposed to warm up this weekend.
5. We still don't have our garden in yet, but given our current weather, that may work out to our advantage. We are also redoing one of our front flower beds. It was filled with this kitty litter like substance that was killing all of our plants. David dug it all out and filled it with better dirt. Now I just need to plant it.
6. This Sunday is the last of the ward conferences for the year.. a big YIPEE!
7. Three weeks from tomorrow is Lewiston's big 4th of July Celebration. I volunteered to be the Park Booth coordinator and it's turning out to be more complicated than I thought. My own procrastination and the unwillingness of others to help is a bad combination. I'm sure it will all work out in the end. They'll still let us live here if it flops, right? Like one lady said, "At least you can be sure they won't ask you to help again!" Funny, but not.
8. David is playing softball with Alpine tonight. I won't post last weeks score to save some face. Needless to say, they are in it for fun, not winning. It's fun for Malia and I to go watch. Malia loves to scream "Papa" as loudly as she can. She sure does love her papa.

That is a beautiful sunset. The update was great, too. I think everyone needs to do it once in a while, so that everyone else can get caught up. We had fun with you at the softball game and playground. Hopefully, we can all hang out again soon.
I'm having a hard time writing. So I do more picts and make you all guess what I mean. Great eh? But I loved the sunset and updates. I showed Grandpa & Grandma the blogs yesterday they loved it.
I'm glad to know you're still alive. If you become a "certified trainer" does that mean you get an awesome raise?
I thought there so something new, I was so excited. But a new pretty background is cool. I was just looking for new Amandaisms. I miss you!
It's good to see you're keeping yourself busy. I keep trying to find a moment to relax and always get there about bed time.
